A note from the Year 5 teachers.......
Based on Vincent van Gogh’s famous artwork The Starry Night, Year 5’s artwork is a replication of Australian artist Athira Jijo’s acrylic painting entitled Starry Night Sydney (source: https://bluethumb.com.au/athira-jijo/Artwork/starry-night-sydney).
Students created individual tiles which have come together to create one united artwork. Using acrylic paint, students painted sections of their tile, let it dry and then returned to apply more layers.
