About this item
Zofia Szewczyk, Alumni, Class of 2021
Part of a wider weaving study, this tapestry draws from the overlooked imperfections found in urban environments. Rust, moss, fractured pavement and the quiet persistence of organic life emerging through concrete inspired its textures and colour shifts. The work reflects the dialogue between the natural and the man-made, capturing forms observed in the city’s transitional spaces.
Inspiration: Imperfections in nature within the city; contrast of concrete and organic growth; rust, moss, urban surfaces.
