Anna obtained prof. Watson's signature during her time at Cambridge, when she got the chance to meet him and speak to him at the famous "The Eagle" pub, in which James Watson and Francis Crick famously announced that they "had found the secret of life". The book has a very special meaning to Anna, as having read it inspired her to subsequently read Rosalind Franklin's account of the DNA structure discovery. Anna mentioned reading both of the books in her Personal Statement, which ultimately led to her receiving an offer from and studying at the University of Cambridge.
