Harrigan's first novel, set in Port Aransas...a well-crafted story of morality, love and porpoises that won him much acclaim.

Condition report:

Good in good dust jacket. Covers show some discoloration at spine ends. Jacket has a few small chips at spine ends. Slight lean to spine. Binding is tight and secure.

Why It Matters:

It was the debut work of a beloved Texas author. Since it was published four decades ago, Harrigan has contributed much to Texas literature. You may know him best for Gates of the Alamo or, for the splash he made more recently with his huge popular history, Big, Wonderful Thing.
