The Set of Six - Eighteen Thousand Islands – A Story of Family, Flavor & Tradition

Our journey began in the summer of 2002, when we fired up our charcoal grill every Wednesday night at the Queen Victoria Night Market in Melbourne. Crowds lined up for a taste of our signature peanut sauce—a cherished recipe passed down from our West Javanese grandmother.

The overwhelming success led us to open two beloved satay eateries in Melbourne’s CBD, which we ran with passion before selling in 2012.

While satay will always be our first love, our grandmother instilled in us a deeper appreciation for food as the heart of family and tradition. Today, we continue to honor her legacy by sharing more Indonesian flavors, recipes, and products, bringing the warmth of her kitchen to yours.
