About the author:
I live in West Yorkshire with my husband, my grown-up step daughter and my babies, aged four and one.
I’ve been writing stories from as soon as I could write. As a child, I'd staple together pieces of paper and turn them into books to inflict on willing family members and not so willing friends. When I struggled to get pregnant with my first daughter, I found myself reaching for a pen and paper. My journal became my companion throughout my journey to conceive and eventually formed the basis for my first book, Warrior.
I've since been humbled by the many messages I've received from readers, saying that my book resonated and helped them.
Infertility is a subject close to my heart, and I'll continue to be an active campaigner for better support for those struggling with infertility.
In my next book, coming soon, I explore what comes next for those who don't manage to get pregnant, stay pregnant or have babies. I think it's important to raise the subject and give the many women who don't get the happy ending they long for, something to relate to.
