Children's book manuscript critique

Stephanie Fretwell-Hill is offering a written critique of your children's book manuscript (complete picture book manuscript or first ten pages of a MG or YA novel), including comments on character development, plot/structure, voice, and marketability in the US children's book market. The written critique will be similar to one you would receive at an SCBWI or other similar conference (1-2 pages, bullet point comments of approximately 500-750 words in length).

Stephanie is a literary agent with 20 years of experience in the children’s book publishing industry. After starting her career in foreign rights at Walker Books in the UK, Stephanie moved home to the US as an acquiring editor at Peachtree Publishers. In 2016, she joined Red Fox Literary where she represents authors and illustrators of fiction and nonfiction picture books, middle grade, and YA in the US children's book market. Her clients include R. W. Alley, Carolyn Crimi, Donna Gephart, Christina Soontornvat, and Archana Sreenivasan. Stephanie lives in North Carolina with her English husband, two very spirited young daughters, and a rescued border collie. This critique is most appropriate for writers who are looking to sell their work to publishers in the US.
