About this item

Tim is offering a virtual 60 Minute author visit to a school,
KS2/Upper primary school, focusing on being an author/illustrator. Tim
will discuss the inspiration behind HARKLIGHTS, give a reading, run a
drawing exercise, and have time for Q&A at the end.

The virtual visit also includes a Signed and dedicated copy of
HARKLIGHTS and a signed original pencil illustration.

Wick has always lived in the dark and dreadful Harklights Match
Factory and Orphanage, working tirelessly for greedy Old Ma Bogey. He
only dreams of escaping, until one day a bird drops something
impossible and magical at his feet - a tiny baby in an acorn-shaped
cradle...

As midnight chimes, Wick is visited by the Hobs, miniature protectors
of the forest. Grateful for the kindness shown to their stolen child,
they offer Wick the chance of a lifetime - escape from HarklightClass
and begin a new life with them in the wild...

HARKLIGHTS is a magical story for readers 8+, celebrates family,
friendship & the natural world, with a message of hope for our times.
His latest nature adventure, WITCHSTORM, is due for published later
this year.

Tim is the award-winning author and illustrator of middle grade
stories full of nature and adventure, and wrapped in magic. Tim also
teaches some of the Children’s Book Illustration courses at City Lit in London.
