1-1 submission critique with Agent Marilia Savvides (#143)

I would love to offer a 45-minute 1-1 submission critique for a work of fiction. I will read and offer feedback on the opening three chapters of your novel and a synopsis. I can offer both editorial feedback on your submission package, and general advice about the market and industry as a whole, demystifying the business, and answering any questions you might have about finding the right agent and how to become a published author.

Marilia Savvides is an Agent in the Books Division at 42. She is a graduate of UCL and the Columbia Publishing Course in New York. She spent seven years working at Peters Fraser + Dunlop before joining 42 in early 2020. She was a Bookseller Rising Star in 2018. She is most drawn to dark tales that weave together excellent characters and an impossible-to-put-down story. She is always on the hunt for reading group fiction in the vein of Jodi Picoult or Liane Moriarty, high-concept thrillers, crime, psychological suspense, grounded horror and grounded speculative, genre-bending fiction. On the non-fiction side she is especially interested in narrative pop science / psychology, narrative history, true crime and memoir.
