About the artist:
Hootan Heydari is a Tehran-born, Naarm/Melbourne-based multidisciplinary artist whose work spans sculpture, installation, photography, and performance. His practice explores the relationship between memory, repetition, and futility as they pertain to the migrant experience.
His works are held in private and institutional collections (including Bundoora Homestead and Counihan Gallery). He is represented by Futures Gallery, and he is a sessional lecturer at RMIT University.
