Nick Doran Adams is a contemporary Australian glass artist based in Melbourne. Originally from Ballarat, he discovered glassmaking while studying at Ballarat Grammar School before completing a Bachelor of Visual Art (Glass) with Honours at the Australian National University School of Art. He then spent eight years at Canberra Glassworks, developing expertise in glassblowing, kiln forming and murrine. Nick now works alongside renowned glass artist Ruth Allen, balancing his studio practice with teaching. His work combines traditional glassmaking techniques with contemporary influences, often drawing on nostalgia, popular culture and digital imagery to create playful, technically accomplished sculptural and functional glass works.
