#03 Dorothy Dubh of Bairnsley AI (9787)

Dot is as quiet and trusting a heifer as we have seen. She has significant volume, is very well bred, structurally correct and has good feet. She is a perfect  foundation female for someone new to the breed, or, with her pedigree, for someone looking to get some new and unique genetics into their fold.

Dot's dam had great feet and one of the best udders in our fold. Dot's sire is a recent AI sire import for Bairnsley who we viewed in Scotland before we imported him. He has the scale, fleshing, temperament and great feet that we think will make a huge difference in Australia's Highlands.

She is 19 months old and very well grown for her age. She will be ready to join in December 2023 (or 6 months later if you autumn calve) and, going by her dam, should have no trouble getting in calf with AI if you wanted to try your hand at this. Her dam was AI'ed 8 times for 8 heifer calves and 1 bull calf (which includes a set of heifer twins) - she was never served by a bull, because she took every time to the AI.

Dot has been to a show, and has been handled a lot. Broken in with the Wannado training technique, Dot can be scratched all over and will seek you out in the paddock, without being pushy. For more information on Dot, Click Here
