About this item

Hideo Nomo, known by the nickname "Tornado" for his distinct, twisting windup, was the LA Dodgers very first player of Japanese descent. As such, Nomo was instrumental in toppling the Major League Baseball Asian barrier and in paving the way for such players as Suzuki Ichiro, Chan Ho Park, Yu Darvish and so forth. But the Tornado also took LA and Japan by storm with his stellar pitching creating a fan frenzy known as "Nomomania". Nomo has led MLB in strikeouts including two no-hitters, one of which was the first in Coors Field history, also making him the only Japanese pitcher in MLB to throw a no-hitter until 2015. He has appeared in multiple All-Star game appearances across the NPB and MLB, and was also inducted into the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame in 2014. Here is your opportunity to own a Hideo Nomo signed MLB ball and to relish in his legacy.
