Olly Williams and Suzi Winstanley met at Central St. Martin’s School of Art in 1987, at which time they began to both work on drawing on the same piece of paper. Their work is concerned with a collaborative response to predators and their prey, and the existence of both in nature, often in the most remote, hostile and untouched wildernesses on earth. Through live and direct interaction they aim to document, the passage and very essence of animals, habitats and tribes that are here now, but may not be for much longer. Their art-making is a true collaboration, with all work made in direct response to nature through first hand experience, and in both a studio and wilderness practice environments. They have exhibited worldwide in galleries and institutions, and have been the artists-in-residence at London's Natural History Museum.
