Sasha Luny is a multidisciplinary artist and puppet theater founder. Her artistic creations evoke the atmosphere of theatrical productions, with the theater itself incorporating visual elements from painting and sculpture. The boundaries between art forms give rise to the world of the artist herself. Sasha Luny's works leave a lasting impression of lightness as if they spring to life effortlessly. This spirit is present in her sketches and large-scale pieces
Sasha Luny was born into a creative family in Moscow. She honed her painting skills in the studios of Yury Zlotnikov and Dmitry Lyon. Sasha regularly participated in exhibitions such as the "Artist's Book" held in Moscow and St. Petersburg. She also participated in the Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art, contributing to projects like Wash-art at the Museum Center of RSUH and the special project "Vulnerability." Since 2010, she has been a puppet theater director "Teatrik Sasha Luny." Since 2009, she has collaborated with the Marionette Theater of Rezo Gabriadze in Tbilisi, Georgia. Since 2008 and up to the present, she has worked as an illustrator for children's books. Her works are in several collections.
