Max Epstein – multidisciplinary artist and educator.
Max was born in Pskov, USSR in 1974. 
He immigrated to Israel at the age of 16. Since 1990 he lives and works in Jerusalem. 
Epstein graduated from Academy of Art and Design of Jerusalem Bezalel. He has an MFA degree in fine arts from the University of Haifa.
Max presented 19 one-man shows and participated in many group exhibitions in Israel and abroad. Among Others exhibitions at Moby (Bat Yam Museum of modern art), Erezc Israel Museum in Tel Aviv, Israel Museum (Anna Ticho House in Jerusalem), Ha Miffall Gallery in Jerusalem, The Museum of Non-Conformism Art in Sant Petersburg, Benyamini Center for contemporary ceramic sculpture in Tel Aviv, The Museum of World Cultures and Religions in Derbent, Dagestan…
Epstein curated 17 exhibitions and initiated many art projects in Jerusalem and abroad. 
Max directed and animated several experimental short animation films. The films participated in many international festivals. He developed the unique author technique in animation. Today he continues to experiment with the technique by using it in different art mediums such as: Visual Theater, Musical-Visual Performance, Life Painting and Life Animation.
In 2010 together with another Artist and friend – Vasyl Sribny (R.I.P.) Max starts up the community based Art project – Wild Kids Animation Studio. The project deals with art education and personal development for kids and teenagers with different backgrounds. It provides a novel method in using animation as a tool in art education for kids. The Wild Kids studio has been around for 14 years and has become a second home for more than 400 kids and their families. Epstein teaching in the Wild Kids Studio from the very first day of its existing. The films made by the Wild Kids participated in many festivals in Israel and around the world.
Epstein received the Mordechai Ish-Shalom Prize for special contribution to Israel Art, The Yuri Stern Immigration and Absorption Prize in a field of Sculpture, Israel Asif Prize for the unique visual statement in a field of animation.
