Boris Kats: High School of Art and Design (now the Stieglitz Art Academy) in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg). In 1990, he immigrated to Israel with his family, and currently lives in Jerusalem. He has been a member of the Ceramics Artists Association of Israel (CAAI) since 1993. In 1997, he founded the Guild Gallery (Yoel Moshe Solomon 27,
Jerusalem), together with his friends. Awards: First place at the International Biennale of Ocarinas, the Museum of Bricks and Terracotta Ornaments in Marsciano, Perugia, Italy (2007).
Selected group exhibitions: “Light and Home”, the Jerusalem Theater (1992); the International Art Symposium, Vyšné Ružbachy, Slovakia (2003); the Third Biennale of Israeli Ceramics Art (12.2004-03.2005); “Figurina No!”, the Ceramic & Glass Design Department, Bezalel (2010); “The Joy of Clay Figurines”, the Eretz Israel Museum, Tel Aviv (2010); the Aspect group exhibition, Beit Aharon Kahana, Tel Aviv (2012); the Seventh Biennale of Israeli Ceramics Art (2013). His works have been acquired by the Tatra Gallery, Poprad, Slovakia, and by the Museum of Bricks and Terracotta, Perugia, Italy. They are also kept in many private collections around the world.
