Kiata Mason’s body of work revolves around collections of objects in the domestic home environment, depicting the compositions created for still-life paintings and highlighting the haphazard nature of a working space. Mason, is a National Art School graduate, holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Painting and Drawing, with Honours and a Master of Fine Arts, Drawing. For over fourteen years, Kiata’s sensitive works have been regularly placed in a multitude of awards including the Paddington Art Prize (2018, 2015), Doug Moran Portrait Prize (2017, 2016, 2013), Mosman Art Prize (2012), Blake Prize (2011) and Dobell Drawing Prize (2012). She was also a finalist in the Sulman Art Prize (2018) and winner of the Muswellbrook Art Prize, Works on Paper (2018).
Kiata Mason has chosen to donate 100% of the proceeds from this work to the NSW RURAL FIRE SERVICE - Hannam Vale Brigade.
The NSW Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS) is the lead combat agency for bush fires in NSW. For over 100 years we have been a significant part of the history and landscape of NSW. Working closely with other agencies we respond to a range of emergencies including structure fires, motor vehicle accidents and storms that occur within rural fire districts. Donations made to the NSW Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS), or your local Rural Fire Brigade, directly benefit volunteer firefighters and are always gratefully received.
