Galston Gorge was the a finalist in the 2019 Mosman Art Prize.

In all their vastness and intimacy, the spirited landscapes of Colin Pennock visualise the profound valency of memory. Responding to his immediate surrounds in the Noosa Hinterland as well as remembered moments from his Irish homeland, the artist creates visceral compositions that materialise the experiential and emotional undulations of life.

Colin Pennock has exhibited nationally and internationally and his work is held in prominent collections including the University of Ulster, the British Consulate in New York and Washington, the Brian Sewell Collection in London and the Hawkesbury Regional Gallery Collection. Pennock was the winner of the Alan Gamble Award, Mosman Art Prize (2005) and has been a finalist in the LenFox Painting Award (2016), Mosman Art Prize (2019, 2014) and Fleurieu Peninsula Art Prize (2008, 2004).

Colin Pennock has chosen to donate 100% of the proceeds from this work to the QLD - RURAL FIRE SERVICE.

The Rural Fire Service (RFS) is the volunteer side of the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES), and provides fire services to 93% of Queensland. The RFS is made up of approximately 33,000 volunteers, including 2400 Fire Wardens, who make up approximately 1400 rural fire brigades. Donations made to the QLD Rural Fire Service (QLD RFS), or your local Rural Fire Brigade, directly benefit volunteer firefighters and are always gratefully received.
