Colleen Dougherty is a self-taught artist based in Bend, Oregon, known for her large abstract paintings created with a unique layering technique that adds a 3-dimensionalized effect. She uses a wheelchair due to a T9/10 spinal cord injury resulting from a car accident in 1989. She co-founded the non-profit organization Oregon Adaptive Sports, has been involved with the Board of Directors since 2003, and also works in the construction of accessible homes in Bend.
