About this item
“Drawing for me is like a meditation. There is a great sense of freedom in letting go and not focusing on the outcome. I enjoy letting my brushes play out across the paper and witness what unfolds in a detached yet conscious way. Drawing gets me out of my head and back into my most natural being. It helps to run my stories out into a place where I can read them. It’s a constant exploration and I feel released and truly inspired to have explored this path.”
Liz came to Sydney from England in 1978 with a London based design group. She focused on ceramics and sculpture for a number of years in Sydney. After moving to the Northern Rivers in 1999, she discovered Dynamic Drawing classes with Ron Curran and, being one of those people who thought they would never be able to draw, she found the confidence to get her work happening. Since then, Liz has had a number of successful exhibitions both in the Northern Rivers and in Melbourne.
