Anna was born in Tasmania, where she grew up with a keen appreciation of natural history and the environment. Anna practiced as a commercial illustrator before moving to Melbourne, where she completed a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts with first class Honours and a Masters of Fine Art from the Victorian College of the Arts. During her studies, she was awarded the 2008 John Vickery Drawing scholarship and the 2009 Gary Grossbard Drawing prize. In 2010, she received the Pigment Gallery Award and Galloway Lawson Acquisitive Prize. In 2013, Anna's paintings of Tasmanian devils were featured in the Antithesis Journal, published through the University of Melbourne. Her work was selected for The Art of Botanical Illustration 14th, 15th and 16th biennial exhibitions in 2018, 2010 and 2022 respectively. Examples of her paintings are featured in the 2019 exhibition of natural history art, reFraming Nature, presented by the Friends of The Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne. Anna’s works are held in local and international collections.
