About this item

Ardoch’s flagship Pathways Beyond School program for the hospitality industry involves a class of students attending a two-course fine dining lunch with volunteers at a TAFE or hospitality training venue. The program aims for children and young people to develop confidence by engaging in table conversation with adult volunteers, trying new foods, becoming familiar with a restaurant setting, and recognising hospitality as a possible career path.

Up to eight volunteers will be invited to host a group of students during the lunch, encouraging them to talk over the meal about paid employment and further education. A tour of the training facility is also provided for students, to prompt thinking about post-school options and further education.

Important information:

  • This program will be booked for delivery at one of Ardoch's Hospitality Partners in Victoria (currently, but not limited to, The Gordon TAFE (Geelong) and Angliss Restaurant (Melbourne CBD)).
  • Timing is subject to school partner and venue availability, but booking will be made in consultation with the winning bidder.
  • All volunteers attending the session will be required to pass Ardoch's child safety compliance process (including mandatory working with children checks and national criminal history checks) in order to participate in the program. Details will be provided to the winning bidder.
