ARTIST BIO

Sameera Kalupahana’s practice predominantly focuses on the study of nude female form, rural scene and landscape. Sameera Kalupahana was born in Sri Lanka in 1978. He graduated from Vibhavi Academy of Fine Art in Colombo in 2000. The artist’s sensitivity to both medium and composition combine with a practice clearly inspired by his strongly rooted environment in the South of the island. Kalupahana’s works have been exhibited both locally and internationally and his works belong to both local and international collections.
