After playing with a few semi-pro football teams, Vince Papale was invited by General Manager Jim Murray and Coach Dick Vermeil to a private workout in the 1976. At the age of 30, Papale became the oldest NFL rookie with no college football experience. Papalewould play three years with the Philadelphia Eagles as a receiver and on special teams.

In 2006, Papale's story inspired the movie Invincible, starring Mark Wahlberg.
