About this item

Wally McGregor feels lucky to have found himself living and raising a family in the Northern Rivers for the past few years. McGregor grew up in the blue mountains, with a Mother was a potter and a Father who built mud brick houses which brought mud and earth strangely to the forefront of his life.

"There is a sensuality about being in contact with the earth and I hope to express those feelings of tangibility and life giving I get from it. I studied at the National Art School and completed my degree with Honours in sculpture and drawing and have have had shows at various galleries in Sydney. I hope to imbue all works including this vase with an organic and tactile aura. I see my work as a push back to the crisp, neat and 2 dimensional digital space we so often find ourselves in."
