Max Taylor "Propaganda Funtime Emporium"

Max is currently studying a Bachelor of Art and Design at Southern Cross University, graduating at the end of this year.

Bringing personal experience into his practice, Max’s painting tells stories from his personal life, revolving around his workplace, family and friends and how larger societal issues are at play in everyday goings on. With a focus on ecology and recycling, Max repeatedly re-paints over old artworks or creates substrates from leftover work materials, with a focus on ‘accessible’ materials. His practice utilises mainly acrylic and oil paints to create vivid, humorous, absurdist and sometimes banal imagery.
