Silent Auction Terms and Conditions 

Auction

• BorneHMRI is an authorised auspice Group acting under the Charity License of the Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI).
• The online auction will run until 10.25 pm Friday 25 August 2023 (auction completion).
• Items are only available to be viewed at The Ivy Ballroom, Level 1, 320 George Street Sydney NSW 2000 on Friday 25 August 2023.
• By placing a bid you are unconditionally offering to purchase the item at the offered price.
• All prices include GST.
• The highest bid at the auction completion will be accepted by HMRI and deemed to be the winner the unlikely event that an entry error occurs, please contact us. 
• If an error with a bid occurs, we reserve the right to accept the offer of the second-highest bidder.
• All items are “as is.” HMRI has attempted to describe and catalogue items correctly, but neither warrants nor represents and in no event shall be responsible for the correctness of descriptions, genuineness, authorship, provenance or condition of the items.

Sale

• The 'seller' HMRI is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits commission. All proceeds from the auction will go towards supporting BorneHMRI's vital work in preterm birth medical research.
• Payment for items purchased must be made in full on the Air Auctioneer platform via credit card on Stripe. by 11.00pm Friday 25 August 2023. 
• Should payment not be finalised at this time, for any reason, HMRI reserves the right to offer the item to the second-highest bidder.
• All sales are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds.
• Delivery/receipt of winning prize is at the winner’s expense.
• Once the ownership of the item is transferred (upon receipt of funds) and thereafter (including transit), HMRI takes no responsibility for damage or insurance.
• Winning bidders consent to their emails being used for communications with BorneHMRI following the closure of the auction, however, no marketing emails will be sent.
