The painting was created by Ukrainian artist Serhiy Savchenko during his art residency in Virginia, USA. It depicts a man in the very moment he drinks a glass of whisky, with a look of complete determination. Thirst, despair and inner strength are all contained in this single sip of a strong drink. It is a story of a man, his power and his fragility at the same time – a tense, vulnerable masculine world captured in one image.
