“Universal Landscape”

Created in 2025 during his residency in Virginia, USA, Universal Landscape presents a city view along a central boulevard leading toward a church on the horizon. The work reflects on the irreversibility of time and existence: visible and invisible perspective lines traverse the scene like traces of human presence—signs that people remain even when not depicted. Savchenko balances a calm, map-like order with the pull of a vanishing point, so the viewer senses both the plan of a city and the flow of lived time.
