Makayla Dass (she/her) is a proud Kuku Yalanji and Guugu Yimithirr woman, currently living on unceded land in Magandjin (Brisbane). She is an emerging artist and writer, undertaking a Bachelor of Contemporary Australian Indigenous Art at the Queensland College of Art, Griffith University.

Makayla contributes to the art community through her roles as Administration Officer with the renowned Aboriginal artist collective - proppaNOW and as a Project Officer with Aboriginal Art Co.

Her bauble says "DEADLY SEXY DIVA" spelt out in jewels, reflects her sassy and witty personality and serves as a vibrant expression of herself, capturing the spirit of Makayla as a contemporary, young, Blak artist.
