12. Arabella Walker Bauble 2025

Arabella Walker is an emerging contemporary Aboriginal artist from the Wulli Wulli Auburn Hawkwood people. Drawing on her rich cultural heritage, she shapes her practice through multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary approaches. With a background in dance, Arabella infuses her work with movement, vibrant color, and energetic mark-making, creating a powerful form of contemporary expression.

Her bauble features her iconic Bush Man figure, who appears throughout her paintings - this time travelling aboard an aeroplane to reflect Arabella’s recent European adventures.

In June 2024, Arabella completed an eight-week residency at Aboriginal Art Co, where she presented her exhibition Seasonal. This body of work explored the distinct characteristics of the seasons within Wulli Wulli Country, offering a deep reflection on the relationship between culture, land, and the natural world. Arabella has also been a valued member of the Aboriginal Art Co team as a Gallery Assistant since 2023.
