Sarina Lirosi is a Melbourne based multidisciplinary artist and educator of Italian descent whose work explores the relationship between remembrance, loss and desire using diverse visual approaches. This work is from a series titled Ode and is inspired by Victorian mourning practices.
Lirosi holds a Master of Fine Art from RMIT University (1997) and has had numerous solo exhibitions with Dianne Tanzer Gallery, Fortyfivedownstair, and West End Art Space, Melbourne. She has also participated in many curated exhibitions including Celebrating the Exquisite Corpse, at the Bendigo Art Gallery; Fictions at Gippsland Centre for Art & Design presented by Monash University Museum of Art; and Lost & Found at the Immigration Museum, Melbourne. In 2023 her project Shades and Tints was awarded second place in the "Our World is Beautiful" contest held during Photobook Week in Aarhus, Denmark.
