About this item
A replica of two original salt-glazed Bartmann jugs that were found on the 1609 shipwreck of the Sea Venture, this handsome ceramic jug was handmade on the potter’s wheel much in the same way the originals were produced in Europe during the 16th and 17th centuries. Now on display in the National Museum of Bermuda, Bartmann jugs were originally used for storage and transportation of liquids, but today, this stunning work of art is the perfect addition to any island home.
