6 1/2' Tree

Most of the ornaments are handmade, while others are decorated. The small baskets in the tree are decorated and my mom loved baskets. The patchwork material was given to me from my mom's childhood friend. So with that, it gave me the idea to use that piece of material and make the ornaments, with other pieces of material used to mix and match. Families are like quilts ... lives are pieced together, stitched with smiles and tears colored with memories and bound by love.

In memory of Nancy Ricks and Evelynn Sliger, my best friend's mom who died three weeks after my mom. The first trees I decorated 15 years ago were for them.

All trees are available for public viewing in open storefronts at Northland Mall.
