About this item

2004 28rd: Under screw cap, this should retain some primary ripeness as there will be no micro oxidation, but expect it to also display a large amount of tertiary aromas and flavours, similar to the above, but a little more herbaceous (dried herb characters). A little more alcohol % and an extended period of maturation will give this vintage a longer life, this should be drinking superbly!

1995 28rd: This wine should display all tertiary bottle age characteristics, with little to no fresh ripe primary flavours. This is not a bad thing at all! Expect it to be very gamey and meaty, with aromas of cooked fruit, leather, prune, tobacco and earth. The alcohol of this vintage was a little lower, so there is no guarantee that this wine will hold up for this long. But if it has, you’ll be in for a real treat! It's a bit of a risk, but potential for great reward.
