Milliners4Recovery
Milliners4Recovery began in January 2020 in response to the Black Summer Bushfires. At that time over 30 members of the Millinery Association of Australia donated hats and related goods to raise money to aid the recovery. Nearly $8000 was raised and distributed between Red Cross Australia, Blazeaid, NSW RFS, Victorian Government Bushfire Appeal and Gippsland Emergency Relief Fund with each milliner selecting who they would support.
We are again in a situation where we see local communities overwhelmed by the loss of their property and wish to make a difference to their ongoing recovery: with this in mind this time funds will be shared between Lifeline Australia and Red Cross Australia. We understand that the impact and recovery from any disaster takes much longer than the initial clean up and relocation.
We are pleased to offer unique hats in a variety of styles and sizes to raise funds to support the recovery efforts to those impacted by these recent floods in Queensland and New South Wales.
Auction terms and conditions
The winning bidders will be asked to make their donations directly to either Lifeline Australia or Red Cross Australia in their own name.
Proof of payment then needs to be forwarded to the organiser. Hats will be posted at the milliners expense.
Hats and bids are made in good will. The description of each hat and images are fair representations of each piece.
