Gyro Gear

This WWII pilot's directional gyro was used for navigation all around the world. The base is an internal drive gear for an aircraft engine. This would make an interesting conversation piece for any man's desk.

I came into the welding program to learn a new trade. During my one week of welding, I learned proper safety measures and I learned problem solving strategies. Overall, it was fun trying to find different parts and pieces of scrap metal to create a piece of art.
