Troy Cassar-Daley One Of A Kind Artwork #2
About this item
Giinagay (hello) from Troy Cassar-Daley. It’s time to help anyway we can with our flood affected people on the North coast of NSW. I have two original paintings to donate, their meaning is posted below, they are both 1/1 and I’m more than proud to support Secret Sounds Flood Aid online auction, with a target to raise $1 million in a one month and a commitment that 100% of money raised will go directly to flood affected communities in NNSW and SEQ.
To help raise some much needed funds, I’ve donated two original paintings I did last year. These two paintings represent my grandparents and the rivers they are from my grandfather has ties to the Clarence river (the grey painting - listed separately) his mother was a Bundjalung woman our family are all deeply connected to that river, we swam, fished and camped on it all our lives.
The second river in the blue is the Orara, my grandmother being a Gumbaynggirr woman was from the southern side of the Clarence this river connects up to all the places we still visit to this day with our families, we still catch and eat turtles and fish there and our sense of belonging does not get any stronger than these rivers.
They have been our life blood for tens of thousands of years and always will be. These floods have been devastating for so many so please give generously and bid your hearts out!
Much love
Troy Cassar-Daley..
