Pip Daley’s Famous Fudge Auction for the Sverre Kaaten Nordic Shelter, Perisher

The Queen of Fudge, Pip Daley, is once again cooking up a storm in the kitchen to produce the first fudge of the season.  As a fundraiser for the Nordic Shelter, Pip will create, for the winning bidders, 2 slabs (which equates to 32 pieces) of dark and white chocolate fudge, depending upon the winning bidders’ preference and a slab of Rocky Road.  Here is your chance to support the Nordic Shelter and get the first fudge of the season.  To make it even sweeter (excuse the pun) we’ll let you make your donation to the Nordic Shelter via the Australian Sports Foundation so you also have a tax deductible donation just in time for the end of the financial year.  For those who cannot bear to wait, or are feeling generous, there is a “buy it now” option to guarantee yourself a fudge treat like no other.

Why the need to fundraise?

The Sverre Kaaten Nordic Shelter was built by volunteers in 1980, funded by donation and grants. It is named in memory of a larger-than-life character from Norway, Sverre Kaaten, who was a key figure in the development of skiing in Perisher Valley in the 1960s. In 2008 a substantial extension and upgrade was completed using volunteers, contractors, government grants and public donations.  The Sverre Kaaten Nordic Shelter is provided and operated by volunteers. Running and maintenance costs are funded by donations.
