LUNYA X ISABEL YELLIN

Our Lunya x Isabel Yellin capsule collection takes rest to greater heights. The theme grapples with finding balance in a world where structure and softness must co-exist. By appreciating both, we can better understand what it means to rest – and therein honor ourselves as works of art.

Along with a line of printed silk, together we created a one-of-a-kind interpretation of a robe to explore the boundaries of what rest can be. The Lunya design team found inspiration in Yellin's use of form and visual movement to create this wearable piece that blurs the line between fashion and art. We took particular inspiration from the custom painting she created for the collaboration and her soft sculptures that explore hard and soft duality. The silk used in the piece was made using remnants and was made here in Los Angeles.

The winner of this auction will not only add this homage to balance to their collection, but also benefit Inner-City Arts as they use art to transform the lives of Los Angeles young people.
