Israel Davis collaborated with his Arrowmont workshop students to craft this colorful platter. The image was screen printed directly on the clay surface, with underglaze transfers completed as part of the demonstrations throughout the workshop. Whimsical 3D elements adorn the platter, including a paper airplane, white billowy clouds, and wire smoke patterns. The image depicts two young children who roast marshmallows alongside a fanciful, pink bunny rabbit.

Israel “Izzy” Davis is an artist and educator from Grand Rapids, MI. Izzy has taught more than 40 workshops on his techniques both nationally and internationally. He has been included in over 100 exhibitions at such venues as the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, New Orleans, LA and The Society for Contemporary Craft, Pittsburgh, PA.
