Ann Mitchell created this bright, symmetrical fiber piece with pink, purple and red woven elements. The results are an optical feast for the eyes. She used basketry techniques to craft this woven hanging. 

Ann Mitchell created a large catalogue of sculptural fiber pieces using varied techniques including needleweaving, knotting, and embroidery. A Houston, Texas resident, Mitchell exhibited regionally including the 16th Texas Crafts Exhibition in 1974.
