Karen Reed constructed this mirror box using bevels and a beveled mirror bottom with custom stained-glass lid. Each beveled edge was custom cut and edged in zinc for a strong, clean finish. The glass lid is a deep plum-red with two mystical characters in one corner.

Karen Reed has been an art glass professional for over 35 years. Her work is included in private collections in several countries, was requested for Christmas display at The White House, and is carried in galleries in four states. She is a published, contributing editor for GLASS Craftsman magazine for 13 years. She has also written for: International Guild of Glass Artist’s publication: Common Ground Glass, Glass Art, the e-magazine artglassinfo.com, Fired Arts and Crafts and The Crafts Report. Teaching is a major component of Karen’s work. She taught at the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, NC, Appalachian Center for Crafts, and Arrowmont for over a decade. Her work is available at The Huntsville Museum of Art and The Huntsville Art League (Lowe Mill).
