About this item

Brian Eno and Bette A. have kindly permitted Leeds Beckett Fine Art to create a unique offering. 10 limited edition bean bags crafted from screen-printed pages of their latest book, What Art Does, An Unfinished Theory. This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of a unique artistic collaboration.

Leeds Beckett Fine Art students, in their excellent print facility at Leeds School of Art, Leeds Beckett University, have carried out the screen-printing and assembly of the printed fabric into large comfortable bean bags.

The profits from the auctioning of the bean bags will go to the charity Leeds Community Foundation https://www.leedscf.org.uk/

Each bean bag in the edition of ten is unique. This uniqueness is due to the variation in the printing of the selected pages (each screen pull gives a unique finish when the ink is transferred onto the fabric) and where the patterns have been positioned and the fabric cut out before assembly.

• The screen-printing has been carried out using colour-fast black ink.
• The bean bags are made from high-quality, 100% heavy denim and stitched together in Leeds Beckett University, Leeds School of Arts on their sewing machines and overlockers to ensure strength and quality.
• The filling beans are British British-manufactured virgin EPS Beads. UK Tested (1988 Fire Regulations).
• Inner and outer access zips ensure the strong and secure containment of bean filling.
• Bean filling is also in a stockinette liner inside the bag cover. This will keep your bean bag beads safe and avoid any spillage, making them easy to remove if bag washing is required.
•The bean bags are machine washable at 30 degrees c.

Shipping costs will be added to the final auction bid.
