114. Wreath - Making Spirits Bright
About this item
Decorator Name Denise McAlister and Rob Kline
We decided to participate in the FOTT this year, for our first time ever, because we wanted to start new family traditions. I'm from Ashland, Rob is from TX, where I lived for the past 21 years. He fell in love with Ashland while we were dating 5 yrs ago on his first visit here to meet my family. Once we were married and remote work became the norm due to Covid we bought a house in South Ashland and moved HOME. This event was always very important to my family, my sister comes home most years to go with her husband. When my family was able to visit during the holidays I would bring my sons. My Dad, Robert McAlister, always LOVED this event; he and my mom Becky came every year they were able.
Sadly, we lost Dad in 2020. This wreath is dedicated to our memory of him, our way of sharing the Festival of Trees and Trains with him even from Heaven. You're here with us now and Always. The glitter and lights and joy of making this wreath to donate shine as bright as his smile always lit up every room and everyones' hearts. We love you Dad. You were the guy.
