Books for Pakistan
Welcome to the Books for Pakistan (#BooksForPakistan) auction, raising money to help those affected by the flooding in Pakistan. From signed books to exclusive artwork, restaurant meals and manuscript feedback sessions, all of the lots here have been donated by members of the publishing industry.
The floods in Pakistan have affected around 33 million people and killed at least 1,314, including 458 children. A third of the country is underwater, and damage is estimated to be at least $10 billion.
This is just the beginning. Food shortages and disease will take (further) hold, crops will take years to come back, and the recovery effort will be a long one.
Money raised from this auction will go to the DEC's fundraising appeal for Pakistan.
