Winning this lot means you get a 100% Highland embryo heifer 'incubating' inside L424 (Angus cross recipient/surrogate cow) & due to calve on 2-11-23. L424 has been pregnancy tested via ultrasound and the embryo calf sexed at the same time. When the heifer calf is born, she can be registered with the Australian Highland Cattle Society (AHCS) under your fold name (noting that you need to be a member of the AHCS to bid in this auction), and will be of Fully Imported Bloodlines. Once weaning has taken place, you can do whatever you wish with L424.

Una (this heifer calf's biological dam) is as good & classical a Highland cow as you will see - a beautiful head, good feet and balanced (something that is talked about a lot in cattle judging but is epitomised in this brood cow). She is exudes femininity and is as quiet and predictable animal as you will find in the paddock, seeking you out (respectfully) for a brush.

Philip has been chosen because of his correctness and his classical Highland type. He is of older genetics (he has long since passed away) but has the class & style that saw him unbeaten in the show ring for the 3 years he was shown in Scotland. We have seen progeny of this bull in Australia and North America and he always seems to throw the same moderate sized, structurally correct, thick-set calves.
