#44 Elsebeth Jørgesen: "Untitled"

Elsebeth Jørgesen (b. 1970), lives and works in Copenhagen. Elsebeth Jørgensen’s artistic practice is centered around conceptual, site specific and archive works that all are presented through a wide range of different medias: photography, sound, video, text and installation. For Elsebeth Jørgensen the montage is an artistic expression and methodical instrument in which she can work with her interest for both the picturesque, language, time and space. Her works are made from a time comprehensive gathering of materials from different historic picture archives that she combines with her own visual, written and auditive registrations. Her works are montages where she compiles her own photographic documentation, sound recordings with processed archive materials and own texts.  The work is a part of a series and was purchased at Bendixen Contemporary in 2007.
