Weekend Escape on the Colo River

We are delighted to add one new item to our Bushfire Appeal Online Auction which you won’t want to miss. Very generous gallery patrons and dear friends of Ali Yeldham’s have reached out to offer a weekend escape at their incredible property located on the Colo River just over an hour out of Sydney. The retreat features 4 bedrooms but the expansive grounds can accommodate up to 40 guests camping. The venue has a spit roaster, pizza oven, and kitchen to cater and seat 40. You can also enjoy swimming with direct access to the freshwater and white sand of the Colo River. This is the perfect place for a celebration that deserves a whole weekend. 

This incredible property and the Colo River have provided great inspiration to many artists including Joshua Yeldham. Bidding on this item closes Wednesday 29 January at 5pm.

The riverfront property generally costs $2,000 to rent for the weekend on AirBnB, our auction begins at $1,000. 100% of the winning bid for this item will be donated directly to the Upper Colo Rural Fire Service.

The NSW Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS) is the lead combat agency for bush fires in NSW. For over 100 years we have been a significant part of the history and landscape of NSW. Working closely with other agencies we respond to a range of emergencies including structure fires, motor vehicle accidents, and storms that occur within rural fire districts. Donations made to the NSW Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS), or your local Rural Fire Brigade, directly benefit volunteer firefighters and are always gratefully received.
